“The entire experience was wonderful. The cultural background provided by Ugyen Wangchuk was outstanding. His communications were clear, he was knowledgeable, and related extremely well to our group. On the trek we found our tent set up and our packed duffel was available in ADVANCE of our arrival at each night’s campsite. The water was always properly and adequately boiled and we did not have to treat our water. Ugyen was very accommodating and helpful to my special photographic desires and tripod transport wishes, as well as helpful to my wife in the operation of her new digital camera.

The entire experience was ideal. I don’t know how it could possibly be improved. We could not have asked for anything more. Every aspect of the leadership on this trip was of the very highest caliber. Advance planning was evident and paid off. Ugyen graciously accommodated the unique and special needs of many of the group members, including those for my heavy tripod and for assistance with Yukiko’s new digital camera.

Ugyen was very helpful in showing Yukiko how to take advantage of various features of her new digital camera. He also added in depth coverage of many of the cultural aspects and explanations of aspects of the Goembas, Dzongs, and Mahayana Buddhism.

We truly appreciated the rich Mahayana Buddhist culture. We also appreciated the home visits and many photo opportunities that Ugyen arranged.”
